I am a young 3d printing enthusiast; a student at Wilmslow High School; a member of Hackspace Manchester and an aspiring maker. I was introduced to 3d printing when I joined the hackspace in 2017 and have been pursuing it ever since. Once I had saved up and bought my own 3d printer, my imagination was my only limit (also time because 3d printing takes a long, long time).
There are many things I do with my 3d printer. I print models off the internet; I also make some of my own models using CAD software, such as Fusion 360. Most of the models I create are spaceships because spaceships are cool and model spaceships are even better. I also 3d print things for other people as well as functional 3d prints that can be used around the house.
I had known about 3d printing for a while before I got involved. There are lots of 3d printing youtube channels that I am subcribed to; these were an inspiration to me because they showed what you could accomplish using 3d printers. I was inspired to design my own models by games such as No Man's Sky and Rebel Galaxy that had amazing spaceship models that I wanted to bring to life.
